DIRECTV SATELLITE TV V’s STANDARD CABLE TV.

For many people getting more channels on their television is just a matter of choosing between cable and satellite. There are a lot of pros and cons to each, but the pros outweigh the cons heavily when looking at Directv. Direct tv is a satellite television provider that has been generating a lot of buzz, with a line up of standard channels that cable simply does not have. Cable companies will push messages that say that dishes don’t work well in rain, snow, or on cloudy days, but that is simply not true. Plus, when you look at the pricing options, you’ll realize that satellite is the way to go to save money.  I had cable television for many years, and recently switched to Directv, and I can tell you from experience that the service is good, and I have had no problems in bad weather. In fact, I had more problems before with cable failure.

SERVICES OFFERED BY DIRECTV.

Directv comes with distinct features that most companies charge more for. When signing up you’ll receive hundred of channels, and options that range from HD channels to premium channels like HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and much more options that most companies don’t offer. You’ll also receive a DVR and software package that really is great overall. Standard installation requires a satellite dish somewhere on your property, and is usually not an eyesore. My directv satellite dish was installed by the technician on the roof and can not be seen at all. The company offers pricing options that start at about ½ the price of cable television. That is going to be somewhat of a great thing in tougher economies, to ensure that your programs are coming to you at a lower cost. Another great feature about Direct tv is that they offer programming from around the world in various different languages. If you’re using cable in an area that doesn’t predominantly speak a different language, you won’t even have the options to get those channels. This is true especially for Spanish speakers, as many cable companies outside of the West and East Coast do not carry Telemundo, Univision, and Galavision. This means no international soccer matches, no telenovelas or anything else from Latin America. However, Direct Tv offers these channels and much more international language channels from around the world as part of their standard and premium packages! Sports was a big reason for me getting direct tv, as they offer NFL Sunday Ticket, Nascar HotPass, NHL Center Ice, and are the only satellite TV providers I could find that offer Cricket, on their CricketTicket channel.

DIRECTV PRICING AND PLANS.

There are several price points to look at in regards to Direct Tv set up. The basics start around $29.99 a month and offer 150 digital channels. The next package over is 34.99 and offers 210 digital channels. After those two packages there are two premium packages that offer 225 digital channels at the price of $39.99 and 285 channels at $85.99. Each individual package comes with other upgrades, free channels, and music channels at no extra charge. There are never any installation fees, and if you order online there are no shipping & handling charges. You can enjoy the most HD television and channels like never before. These prices will fit any budget, and really create a wealth of entertainment for you and your family.

DIRECT TV CONTRACT INFORMATION.

Most Direct Tv plans require a 12-month commitment, but the prices don’t just jump up and bite you. They stay consistent and once you’ve tried this brand you’ll never go back to the cable companies. Customer service is one of the things that you’ll appreciate with changing from standard cable to this amazing satellite provider. When compared side by side to cable you’ll see a distinct advantage to this company over any cable company. I have never had a problem with Direct Tv, and have found from experience that they are the best satellite tv company there is.
