Refrigerators:

For millions of homeowners, the right appliance is important to their aesthetics, and needs to be top of the line. That’s not to say that top of the line is expensive, but it is interesting to see how much people are spending on getting better items. When taking a look at refrigerators you should definitely consider many different brands and prices. Refrigerators come in a wide array of sizes, shapes and prices. It’s interesting to see how good things have gotten in this arena, and a testament to how modernity has improved the lives of families of all walks of life. Whether you’re looking for a French-door refrigerator, a standard configuration, or a star rating, you’ll find that there are a wealth of options that start at around $500 and rise upwards depending on brand, size, and features.

Sub Zero Refrigerators, Stainless, Side By Side:

The price range of top rated refrigerators start at round $500 and can rise well into the thousands. Consider that we are looking at top rated appliances for the general public. While there are higher end items like sub zero refrigerators, stainless refrigerators, side by side refrigerators and many others, we focused our eyes on what the average homeowner could afford rather than going on the higher end. Another thing to you’ll want to pay attention to is the refrigerators depth.  You don’t want to have a fridge delivered and find out that it sticks out 6 inches further than the countertops adjacent to it.  The lower priced models didn’t get many good ratings, but starting at the $500 range you start to see people really appreciate the items.

Refrigerator Warranties:

Warranty issues are important to be aware of with many models. These appliances come with standard limited warranties, but if the store you’re dealing with offers a longer warranty, you should pay for it. Repairs on refrigerators can really end up driving you crazy and cost a lot of money. However, if you pay for the extended warranty you’re going to find that it can get you a new appliance or fix the existing one with ease.

Refrigerator Options:

Upgrades to refrigerators include a wealth of opportunity for the home user. You’ll see upgrades like ice maker that can go from cubed, squares, to crushed. You’ll also see temperature control upgrades, and larger surface area in the interior. These upgrades cost a little more depending on the brand, but it isn’t half bad.

Cheap Refrigerators:

There are cheap refrigerators available from General Electric, Kenmore, and others. However, it is not really advised to go lower end models. These models often break down, or have problems that a mid-range model won’t have. You’ll also be unhappy in the long run with the lower end options available out there. Make sure you don’t skimp on the possibility to upgrade your home refrigerator.  A cheap refrigerator isn’t usually a good option, especially since most of them aren’t as energy efficient as the higher end models.

Best Refrigerators and Popular Models:

The popular brands are Kenmore, GE, Hotpoint, and Samsung. These brands start at $600 and rise upwards of $1600 but have been rated the best by consumers. Consumers have been stating the greatness of these models that feature large capacity interiors, energy star ratings, quiet machine parts, filtered water, ice dispensers and in some cases French-doors or see-through doors. They also come in a wide range of configurations and colors. The refrigerator market has really grown by leaps and bounds, and homeowners are finding out that the ball is in their court, and companies are now offering quality items at fair prices.

Old Refrigerator – Refrigerator Disposal:

It is important to dispose of your old refrigerator properly.  Most cities have local laws regarding refrigerator disposal and come with hefty fines.  However, most appliance stores will gladly remove your old refrigerator for free or a small fee.  They will usually refurbish these refrigerators and sell them as used refrigerators or dispose of them properly if they cannot be refurbished safely.  This also means that “yes” you may find used refrigerators for sale, however, it isn’t a recommended purchase
